11 Months Old!

I can't believe my baby is nearly a year old. Wow, this year has flown by! This has been absolutely the best year of our lives. We are so blessed to have this little one! So here's the latest on our baby girl- Audrey is now truly a walker. In the past few weeks she has gone from taking a few steps occassionally, to walking all the time. She is obviously still a good eater. She takes a few bottles a day, loves oatmeal and rice cereal, most baby food flavors, and any table food she can get her hands on. We are still picky about what she gets to try, worrying about choking and food allergies, but so far, she likes pretty much everything she's tried. She also loves Gerber Graduates Puffs (apple cinnamon flavor). Audrey has four teeth, two on the bottom (middle) and two on the top. She is trying to talk more, randomly mimicking words she hears. She says da-da all the time, ba-ba (mama, bottle, bye-bye???), thank-you, and backpack. Yes, you read that right, backpack. Hope watches Dora all the time and Audrey picked up the word backpack and just spits it out every now and then, very cute. Audrey loves exploring and finding new things to pick up and play with. She loves anything in a box, basket, or container of any sort that she can empty. So that's the latest....she's a busy baby!

Slumber Party

A few weekends ago, Audrey and I had a slumber party with two of my best friends and their kiddos. It was lots of fun and we can't wait to do it again!

Look Who's Walking!

Well, Miss Audrey is officially a walker now. She took her first step on October 25th, the day before she turned 10 months old. Since then, she has begun to take more steps at a time. She still crawls a lot, but when she is standing holding on to something, she tries to walk to get where she needs to go, instead of crawling. Sometimes she makes it a long way, other times just a step or two. But she's definitely walking. We are trying to get as much crawling as possible on videotape before she's done with it altogether. I haven't been able to get many good pictures of her walking because she always notices me with the camara, gets excited and usually falls down. We do have a lot on videotape though. If I ever learn how to post a video, I'll put one on. It's amazing how time has flown since she was born. It seems like she is doing something new and cute everyday. It's hard to believe she'll soon be a year old!

PaPa's Birthday

Today was my dad's birthay so we all celebrated at my parent's house after church. We are all so thankful for daddy. He is such a wonderful father and grandfather. He loves his grandkids so much and has so much fun with them. We tried to get Audrey to say "PaPa" but she never did. She'll probably end up calling him Ronnie like the other kids anyway. Whatever she ends up calling him, she's one blessed little girl to have him in her life.

Audrey's Best Bud

Audrey and Buddy are pretty fond of each other. Buddy has always paid a lot of attention to Audrey, but in the past few months, she has really taken an interest in him. She watches him and laughs at him all the time. Sometimes when Buddy is laying around, she'll just go over and lay on top of him or give him a hug. She even reads to him :)!

Sweet Girls

Audrey and Hope ended up with matching dresses, so we decided they would both wear them to church today since it was my dad's birthday. After church, we forced Audrey, Hope, and Sunnie to pose for a few pictures. Guess who didn't want to cooperate???? We got some really cute ones though. Yesterday, she got to see her other cousins Trey and Kaylee. And Kaylee and Audrey had matching outfits yesterday. Unfortunately, I forgot my camara, so we didn't get pictures, but it sure was cute. Such sweet kids, I am so glad Audrey has them in her life!

Happy Halloween

Halloween night was a busy one for us! Nana and Frantz came all the way from Bridgeport (via Rockwall for Trey's football game) to be a part of Audrey's first Halloween. We trick or treated at our neighbor's house and then went to the festival at our church. After all that, we headed out to my parents house where the big kids were having a bonfire and hayride. We decided to pass on the hayride this year because Audrey was getting pretty tired by that point, but we figure by next year, she'll be a Halloween pro and ready for anything!
