Memorial Weekend

We had such a good weekend! First Nana came to town to visit. She kept Audrey Saturday night while Jeff & I went out. I was excited to have a babysitter and night on the town, but it turns out Jeff & I have gotten really used to having our little one with us all the time & we really didn't even know what to do with ourselves.
On Sunday, we all went shopping and Nana bought Audrey lots of cute little outfits for summer.
Finally, on Monday, we had a picnic with my family. Kind of a Memorial Day tradition. It was Audrey's first real family picnic. Mom bought Audrey, Hope and Sunnie matching sundresses for the occassion. It was so cute. Check out Audrey pulling Sunnie's hair, she has started to grab anything she can reach, faces and hair included! By the end of the afternoon, Audrey was pretty tuckered out....fun day!

Growing Girl!

Here are a few recent pictures of our growing girl. She is getting so big and learning so many new things. On May 15th, she finally rolled over. Now she's a regular little rolley polley! She is raising up on her arms and trying to use her legs to move herself along, so I know crawling is just around the corner. She is also getting pretty good at sitting up with a little help. I can't believe it's all happening so fast...

Worn Out

After a long day of shopping... isn't she sweet!

Busy, Busy, Busy

Miss Audrey wants to be up all the time now. If she is awake, she wants to be sitting up and looking around. She also wants to touch everything in sight. We debated over which activity center to buy her, but finally decided on one we thought would work best for her. Audrey is slightly vertically challenged, as you can see, so we went with the one with the most height adjustments. She loves it! She frantically grabs for everthing she can reach when we first put her in it. Then she settles down and always plays with the section she is in the pictures. Hopefully, pretty soon, her little legs will be long enough to reach the platform so she can bounce.

Trying Something New

A few weeks ago, Audrey got her first taste of rice cereal. She liked it okay, but really didn't seem to enjoy the spoon. Since these pictures, we've tried oatmeal cereal and butternut squash and carrot baby foods. She really likes the baby foods, so far. Next we are moving on to green vegetable baby food. I'm not optimistic, though, it looks terrible! Maybe won't be as picky as me....
