Roaring River Vacation

Earlier this month we went on a vacation with my whole family to Roaring River State Park in Missouri. It is a really beautiful place and the weather was so nice the whole time we were there. Definitely a good break from the 100 plus degree weather we'd been having here. Audrey was such a good girl on her very first vacation. She did great in the car for 6 hours! She is just such a happy girl! Here are some pictures from our trip. I wish I had more, but somehow I didn't end up with as many good pictures as I thought.

Happy in Her Highchair

Just a couple of pictures of Audrey hanging out in her new highchair from Nana. She really likes it and gets so excited when we put start to put her in it. She has definitely figured out that sitting in that chair leads to eating, which she is obviously always happy to do!

Happy Firecracker Day!!

Audrey had a fun-filled, first fourth of July weekend. And it was indeed a weekend of firsts. She got to go to the golf course with Daddy for the first time, swim for the first time, and see fireworks for the first time. Actually, all she really got to enjoy were some sparklers the kids had because by the time for the big ones, she was ready for bed. I think she was sufficiently impressed though. The best part of the holiday, of course, was that she got to spend it with all the people she loves the best!

or did I give birth to the most precious baby in the world?

Happy Half Birthday!

Audrey was six months old on Friday. I wanted to have a half birthday party (just a little bitty one) for her, but Jeff thought that was a little over the top. So instead, all she got was a trip to the doctor for more shots and a check-up. And at exactly six months, Audrey weighs 18 lbs 13 oz and is 25 inches long. That puts her in the 20th percentile for height and the 90th percentile for weight on the growth chart. Her doctor said everything is great. She's perfectly healthy and obviously well nourished. Audrey did get a few half birthday presents though, I'll post some pictures soon. I can't believe she's already six months old!

Making Friends

After work on Friday afternoon, Jeff brought Audrey by to play with my coworkers grandbabies. It was so cute seeing them together. Audrey and Bailee are only 5 days apart in age, so hopefully, they will become little buddies. It is too cute watching a baby around another baby. And amazing that at only 6 months, they already only want the toy the other one has!
